OEM & ODM production
Produksee offers OEM and ODM knitwear production in Indonesia. Under OEM the brand supplies the tech pack and Produksee manufactures to it; under ODM Produksee develops the style, structure and fit from a brief. Both cover yarn sourcing, trims, sampling and bulk production.
The difference between OEM and ODM is who owns the development risk. Choosing the wrong one is why programmes arrive late — a brand with a finished tech pack does not need development time, and a brand with a mood board should not be quoted as though it does.

How a programme runs

Enquiry and quote
You send the style, quantity and delivery window. We come back with a costed quote against the actual construction, not a range.
- 02
Yarn and trim confirmation
Yarn count, blend and colour are confirmed against physical references. Lab dips where colour accuracy matters.
- 03
Counter-sample
A full garment for approval. Fit, measurement and finishing are signed off here — after this, changes cost money.
- 04
Bulk production
Knitting, linking, finishing and inspection against the approved sample.
- 05
Inspection and despatch
Measured against your tech pack tolerances, packed to your specification.

Frequently asked
Can we start with ODM and move to OEM on repeats?
That is the normal path. Once a style is developed and approved it becomes your tech pack, and repeat runs are quoted as OEM.
Do you work with nominated yarn or trim suppliers?
Yes. If your programme has nominated suppliers we buy to them; otherwise we source and present options at sampling.
Who owns the development work?
You do. Development for one brand is never shown or sold to another, and we sign an NDA on request.

Knit cardigans
A cardigan is judged at the button band. It carries the wearer's eye, it takes the most handling, and it is the first place a badly balanced knit shows itself — the band ripples, the fronts hang unevenly, and the garment looks cheap before anyone has read the label.
Sweaters & pullovers
An oversized sweater is not a fitted sweater cut larger. The drop shoulder moves the balance point off the shoulder seam, so the whole garment hangs from the neckline instead — and if the neck rib is knitted at the wrong tension, the body pulls the collar out of shape within a season.
